These images are from a series titled Smile in which I personalised items we often associate with romance with catcalls that either myself or women I know have received. If these phrases seem like they don't belong on these items;  that is because they don't; words of abuse engraved upon tokens of affection.

"Smile" seems like such a pleasant word but when a stranger shouts it at you as if you are their property or owe them something the word takes on a whole new meaning.
